TAC Fall Blog Hop

TAC has a paper crafting community blog type thing.  (I'm not real computer savvy with lingo and such.)  So, anyway, TAC is having a blog hop this weekend.  I've decided to participate.

I made this little cutie last night for my card class that is tonight.

Let me know what you think!  You can find the other participant links here!  Give them some love!

Have a wonderful Halloween weekend!

Some weekend inspiration

We are on to card number 4!  I just love the colors in this one.  It's not often that I'm able to pull off a good girlie card.  While this one doesn't have any frills, it still has that feminine look to it.

We are still cruising through the alphabet at other lovelies.  Come over and take a peek!  You may just find some inspiration there too!

Have a wonderful weekend!

One of my favorite NEW sets

I borrowed this set from my friend Brenda.  What she doesn't know is that I don't plan to give it back!!!  :-)

This is one of the cards that we made at the card class Friday night!  We had a super fun time.  If you're ever in the area on the last Friday of the month, you should stop by and join the fun!

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July....

I know it's August.  I made them all in July though.  So, that has to count, right?!

Well, here they are:

This first one, my good friend Brenda designed.  I think I love these colors together!

I don't know if I like the blue or maroon better.  Love the bows though!!!

And this one, well it was a good concept.  The colors that I chose to color are just way to bland.

Let me know what you think!  I'm anxiously awaiting everyones insight.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Masculine

Here are a couple of masculine birthday cards that I completed recently.  It's so easy for me to make feminine things but I can never come up with any good masculine items.  These are pretty decent.  Well, at least, I think so.  One of them is very late and will soon be making it's way to Indiana.  However, I really can't decide which one yet.

All stamps and paper are from THE ANGEL COMPANY.

Any questions, feel free to drop me an email!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Retired but super cute!

Spring Break really messed with my system.  I'm trying to get back on track.

Here is your weekend inspiration:

It's all TAC but retired except the flowers.  I think they came from a mail order place.  It just looked bright and fun on this gloomy afternoon.

What do you think?

Remember to check out Other Lovelies for a challenge!

Holy Cow!!!!

HOLY COW!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets from TAC.  It's called funny farm and funny farm phrases goes with it.  Now, this particular saying isn't my favorite from the set but it went with the cow.

Go on over to Stamp it Crazy and check out all the other cows!  There are some really talented gals over there!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Asian not so Gothic

I tried really hard to come up with something for the Haunted Design House challenge this week.  I'm just not very good at dark/gothic type cards.  Mine all end up being cutesy!

The paper is called 'zen garden'.  I believe that fulfills the Asian part.  You'll have to decide if any of them are dark or gothic!

Here they are:

I used several sets from TAC to make these.  The green card is with simply divine, butterfly swirls, good timber, and I think the other is spring flowers.

The good timber probably fits the 'dark/gothic' best.  So, here is a picture of it by itself.

Boy oh boy, I've really been working on the paper hoarding.  Check out other lovelies to learn more about what I'm referring too.

Hope your Saturday is superb!

Belated Birthday

I know, I know.  You're wondering where the close ups of Valentine's 4 and 5 are.  Well, let's just say it's late and I don't remember which memory card they are on.  So... since I'm a horrible BFF and forgot Jared's birthday again this year.  I decided I should make it and post it tonight!  I will be putting it in the mail box first thing in the morning.

This is from a new stamp set that is in Serendipity.  I've just been dying to try it out.

So, Jared, this one is for you!

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  It is a super cool, manly card.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Valentine - Card Class

I've already told you all about my card class last night!  Truthfully, I'm super tired.  After the class last night, I remembered that I needed to pick up sodas for the PTO yard sale today.  So, at midnight I was on my way to Wal-Mart.  Then, I didn't fall asleep until 2 and back up at 5:30.  Worked the yard sale until 10 then off to Tyler's basketball game (lost by 1 I think - boo hoo)!  Back to the yard sale to pick up my tables and things (I thought I was going to help them clean up but they were finished before I got back.)  Then, we went to the Italian Festival in Tradition square - super, yummy food.  After this post, I'm off to Mark's game.  I think I'll take a nap when we get back and then start designing Valentine's for the 6th graders next week.

So, today I'm going to show off that really cute lollipop card.  It was our first project last night.  Plus, while blog surfing this afternoon Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C22 is to use a lollipop.  I'm participating and didn't even know it when I made the card!

Supplies:  t-3266 little darlins, v-237 scarlet cardstock (TAC),  black cardstock, white cardstock, k-100 crop-a-dile,  f-15 prismacolor pencils and of course the LOLLIPOP!

The 2nd annual Serendipity (TAC) magalogue went live yesterday.  If you need a copy, please leave a comment or send me an email and I'll get one out to you.

Have a super Saturday!

Wow!

My first card class of the new year was the biggest yet!  I'm exhausted!  It was too much fun!  Today's class was all about Valentine's!  On Wednesday, I had a total of 9 to get ready for.  By Wednesday night, I had 11.  Luckily one was a kit because I ended up with another!!  Now, I have to go back and cut the kit again but hey-it was so much fun!  For the first time ever, I had 2 guys join in the cardmaking festivities.  They were 17 or 18 and can I tell you they were supremely creative!  I wish I would have thought to take pictures of their creations and compare them to my originals.  I was so busy my head was spinning!  Unfortunately I didn't think of it until I sat down to send this out to all of you for weekend inspiration.  They were good sports and great out of the box thinkers.  Thanks go out to Kelsey for inviting them.  Oh, and did I tell you about my new friend?  She saw me shopping in the M...store, asked what I was using all that ribbon for and the rest is history.  She joined us tonight and I think she may join us on future ocassions as well.

So, this is what we did:

I will post individual picture along with a supply list daily this coming week.

Guess what else?  I'm a glutton for punishment.  I'm helping my friend Amanda next week.  She teaches 6th grade social studies and also picked art to teach as an elective for the kids.  Every day next week, I will spend her art hour teaching the kids a different Valentine card!!!!  Thankfully she stays in the class and keeps them under control.  I just teach the techniques.  Phew!

Finally, I want to remind you to check out my Thoughtful Thursday challenge.  There is a prize!

Have a wonderful weekend!

What can brown do for you?

Well, today brown gave me inspiration!  I received the new Serendipity magalogue!  I cannot convey how excited I am!  My juices are flowing so this is going to be short and sweet.

Early this week I created a couple of things.

First, a cutesy little baby card.

Second, a thank you card.  Someone I know will be receiving this in the mail.  Who will it be?

Let me know what you think!

Enjoy your weekend!

For your weekend inspiration, see my new blog HERE.

I made this using some retired TAC paper.  The sentiment is from tag tidbits.  Super simple!

Have a supreme Saturday!

Tricked you!

Ha!  You thought I forgot!  Not this time, I'm just late!  Incredibly late!

I've been designing baby thank yous for a great friend!

Here is today's!

This is a cute little baby stamp set called special delivery.  The printed paper is from the Mimi collection.  The pink background and thank you are made with the cricut.  I colored her hair with the prismacolor pencils and mineral oil for blending.

Let me know what you think.  It will be baby stuff for a while.

Hope your weekend is wonderful!

Copics!

I have a friend that loves card kits!  So, she asked me to make one just for her.  I had a couple that I had designed previously that I thought she would like.  This left me with only 3.  I've had the idea for today's for quite some time but haven't tried it.  It isn't what I had originally thought but I really like it.

Bright and fun!

The best part of all is that I got to use my new set A of the copic ciao markers! The stamps are from the little cupcake set. The paper is just something I had left over from a bulletin board at school.

Hope you like it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas cards '09 - 1

The next 5 days you will see what we created in the October card class. These were some of the easiest cards I've ever made but are very lovely! I hope you enjoy them.

I somewhat 'lifted' this idea from a fellow angel. It is very difficult to see the dimension of the card via a photo but wow!

The base is made with the monochromatic v-47 greens. The dots are ta-3209 build a background stamped with s-1179 versamark. Jingle all the way stamped in tt-210 chartreuse palette ink is adhered to the hot pink card stock. The tree is stamped in the same ink. Then, stickles were added for the ornaments. The saying and tree come from r-3037 holiday cheer. The ribbon and bell were adhered to the white card stock then mounted onto the hot pick with pop dots. The pink was then mounted onto the base with zots that lifted the pink just a bit.

I wouldn't recommend trying to mail this card due to the bell. You'll definitely have to pay extra for postage if you do. I'm afraid that it may not make it through the postal system.

Hope your Friday was fantastic!

New acquisition

I recently purchased some new stamp sets! Love them!

I found some Halloween related paper at a local discount store and used it.

Here is what I came up with:

Let me know if you have questions about supplies or coloring.

Have a whale of a weekend!!

October SOTM

My next few posts here will be all about the October stamp of the month. There are 4 stamps in the collection. The goal is 4 cards. I've made 2 thus far! Well, 1 complete, 1 almost complete. A while back my buddy Melisa @ Paperlicious Designs challenged us to stamp a light background with a sentiment directly over the top. Now, I didn't do that - mostly because I didn't go back and reread the challenge but I did use the stamping off technique. So, guess what...now I know what my 3 card will be!!!

Anyway, this is what I came up with:

Supplies used: ribbon, white cardstock, DCWV cardstock, tt - 193 belle rose palette ink, tac - 3018 sketched scrolls, tc - 3128 thinking of you

So, what do you think?

Have a wonderful weekend!!
